Ota Industrial Fair 2016 Report
Ota Industrial Fair 2016 was held at Ota Ward Industrial Plaza PiO for three days from December 4 to 6. This is an exhibition where manufacturing companies in Ota Ward, which is known as a cluster of small and medium-sized manufacturing industries, gather together and have a history of 20 years. This year, 107 companies and organizations exhibited. Recently, there are many companies that are challenging not only in contract processing business but also in advanced industrial fields and high value added fields. It is also the place where the "Shitamachi Rocket" and "Shitamachi Bobsleigh" were set. Tokyo Tech COI exhibited for the first time to promote cooperation with local governments and companies.

Tokyo Tech COI exhibited the two themes.
One is the introduction of Happiness Co-creation community by "Ishin-Denshin" aimed at the communications revolution, and the other one is a small sensor nodes of Masu & Ito laboratory.

COI concept was explaied mainly about four services, such as "Information Recall", "Multiligual Intent Translation", "Tele-presence Communication",
and "Connected Co-creation space" service, using the posters and videos.
From the visitors, we have many comments and opinion on our activities such as;
- We need excellent listeners of empathy evaluation for making audio products,
- Management of the workplace in the point of environment and efficient,
- Evaluation of the food of the delicious or not,
- Application to matchmaking aimed at settlement of the local young people,
and so on.
On the other hand, as a small sensor node of Masu & Ito laboratory is the real actual prototype, we could collect a lot of visitors.
In addition to the features and performance of this sensor, it had super-lowpower consumption of the circuit aimed at battery-less, many opinions about the power environments were stated.
In addition, we had many requests of the practical applications, and felt expectations for the commercialization.

In the visitors to our booth, there was a person of the Tokyo Tech OB. He asked to make the trial of the experimental apparatus to the town factory of Ota in his school days. It is the reason why he still visits Ota Industrial Fair, he said. I felt the strength of the bonds of local community.
